To my little girl who lights up a room when she smiles and who has been given to me to love, guide, and honor…
You continue to inspire me – to be a better woman, a stronger person, a better mom.
You have been brought into my life for a reason and I am forever changed since the moment I saw you take your first breath. Although you manage to steal my patience on a regular basis and probably shaved a few years off of my life from worry, I can’t imagine walking this Earth without you.
I watched you struggle with things that came easy for others and I prayed that you would remain strong and confident. You never gave up on yourself and I never gave up on you.
You are a fighter, one that has more sass and spunk than any little girl I know; you’ve taught me the true definition of hard work, never letting even a single setback get in your way.
I am in awe of you.
I am in awe of how far you’ve come.
You have shown me the face of gratitude.
You were sent from above to teach me the true meaning of courage, resilience and HOPE.
You love without judgment,
You live without prejudice,
And it is YOU who continues to remind me what’s truly important in life.
Regardless of the challenges that still remain, you will get through them – we will get through them and you will be reminded every single day that YOU ARE ENOUGH.
As I watch you play dress up and rock those pigtails in your hair, I am blessed to have the opportunity to watch you learn and grow into an extraordinary little girl and ultimately young woman – one who I know will leave an amazing footprint on this Earth.
My job as your mother is to love, guide and honor you – and I will continue to do that, all the days of my life.
Thank you sweetheart, for being YOU – just the way you were meant to be.

What a beautiful letter!
I have started writing letters to my boys (almost) every month. It helps me remember to celebrate the things that are going on now, the people they are now, and to remind them (and me) that they are always enough.

this touched me so deeply. Our children are so much of what we GIVE THEM..and allow them to be. I can tell that your daughter has all the love, space and encouragement she needs to be just as amazing as her mom.
Frame this, and hang it somewhere she can see if every single day and know how much she is cherished.
WOW. the tears.
