When I graduated from college, my parents threw me a huge bash to celebrate. I gave a little speech at that party in front of my family and friends and the reason I spoke that evening was because I wanted to share my gratitude toward my parents who helped to finance my education, as well as all of my family and friends who were there to support me. When I finished speaking, I placed the microphone down and I had the DJ play Natalie Merchant’s Kind and Generous.
Right now, it feels so appropriate to share this song with you.
The bloggy love shared for me yesterday overwhelmed me. So many of you took the time to wish me well on my special day. Honestly, it moved me. It proves once again that I am part of an amazing community of women and bloggers here that it’s almost hard to put into words.
As I mentioned in this post, readership is what makes blogs thrive. You continue to inspire me to be a better writer and blogger. I am always excited to put out new content and continue the dialogue with you. You – my followers, readers, subscribers and those who comment are what make this blog so amazing. There is such an energy felt here at Theta Mom and part of that energy is the connection that can be found with each of you.
Today, I look forward to visiting your blogs, catching up on Twitter or chatting with you on Facebook because that’s what this blogging thing is all about. And when I see you I will be thanking you, for being a part of this community. As Natalie Merchant writes,
“I want to thank you, show my gratitude,
My love and my respect for you
I want to thank you.”
I hope that every single one of you that read this blog know how much I appreciate the time you take to read, comment and follow my blog. It really means more than you know.
And I look forward to continuing this journey with you more than you know.
xoxo
