Going to the playground with my baby girl is really fun until she wants to run away from me and then I have to chase her…
So a little break here and there is a good distraction, I think…
Until the moment occurs when the only thing my baby girl wants to do is take off her shoes and run away again…in her clean, white socks. So I’m forced to keep her put while I manage to place her shoes on her feet for the one millionth time…
So what’s the #1 rule when taking my baby girl to the playground, while keeping her happy AND her socks clean???
HEAD STRAIGHT FOR THOSE SWINGS!!!
Don’t forget Time Out for Theta Mom is this Thursday! Be sure to post about your time out and come back here on the 28th to link up! If you missed that post or for further details, click here. I can’t wait to see what you’ve all been up to!
You baby is SO CUTE! I have a little shout out for you on my blog too
I love her pink and leopard print attire! So stylish.
So sweet. You two are so fashionable! Sounds like a fun time at the park.
What a beautiful little girl! It’s nice to get a day warm enough to go to the park right now!
We love to swing too. Loving her coat, so gorgeous.
She is just WAY too cute in that coat!! When she grows out of it send it my way…I want that coat!!
Girl, I love that coat! Happy to see you girls out in the sunshine getting your vitamin D. It’s my favorite way to spend the day with my grandson, Preston, aka PDub. Keep swinging!
I know, that coat is fabulous right? And would you believe it’s a hand-me-down from my sister-in-law?! Gotta love the cute hand-me-downs!!!
love those swings! lol that looks like a great playground!!
Oh my gosh all my kiddos love the swings now…but my (now 3 yr. old son) was terrified of them around (what I’m guessing is) your daughter’s age! That’s awesome that she loves the swings!
I love her coat! We have a “hand-me-down” version just like it that will fit G next winter… now I’m even more excited for her to wear it!

Confessions From A Working Mom
I love her outfit. Pink and leapard – very fashionable. They didn’t have such cute stuff when my daughter was little.
I love this post! She is adorable!
Thanks Evonne!
She is adorable.
D-man is the one who I think is going to do this. He already take his socks off, refuses anything that covers his feet or his hands or his head for that matter. I agree that swings are the only way to handle it once they are truly mobile.
Amen Beth! She takes her socks off when it’s like 5 degrees outside, she doesn’t care. The whole putting those shoes on business was getting to be too much…it was swing city for us!
Look at little chickie in her leopard print – RIGHT ON!! It looks like a fun day – and it was sunny, double yay! ♥
She is beautiful Heather!
I know the swings are the favorite around here too but I have to be the one to admit – unless I am with a friend to chat with – I HATE pushing the swing. Told you I am imperfect Theta Mom! We have had so many injuries and temper fits about the swings and I just get SO bored! I can’t wait until they can pump and believe me we started early. Sophia is 3 and she is almost to complete swing independence.
Great pics!
I love your blog! Love the post!
Feet pumping on their own…sounds great Brittany! And thank so much Nicole! Off to check out your blog…
She is absolutely adorable!!!

Isn’t she adorable, and I love her little outfit.
Oh ya baby! Look at that stylin’ baby!
She’s a beauty!!
aww so cute! Ok I got my timeout thursday almost written.. I know I know it’s only tuesday.. prepare prepare prepare LOL then i will forget again ROFL
Thanks ladies! I don’t always share pics of my kids, but thought this would be fun!
Heather, your daughter is just too cute & love her coat ! hanks for sharing
Those are great pics, mama!
That is what I battle EVERY TIME we go to the park! Addie plays and then wants to run, and 8 1/2 mos pregnant momma can’t chase her very well…and then she saw other little girls take their shoes off to play in the sand, so now she doesn’t want to wear shoes at the park….and on days when its 55 in Calif, that’s just asking for a cold!! OH well! Cute pics and post!
OK can I just say that I LOVE THE HAT AND COAT!!! OMG so freakin adorable!!
I do like taking my girls to the playground but honestly sometimes it totally stresses me out. I am so worried about the falling and breaking something. So just like you I always go for the swings. At least I can keep them somewhat restrained.
But again I LOVE HER JACKET AND HAT!! And you look good to Mama!
My latest post since comment luv does not luv me right now:

awww…she is a cutie-pie!
Too cute!! My little one always runs away too while my oldest is trying to play!
I love your little ones outfit!!
Love the pics! Its super hard to take my 3 lil ones to park by myself. Two running in diffrent directions and a baby in a stroller. The backyard way easier lol
These photos are so cute. Bug only likes the swings for a few minutes at a time. Her favorite part is throwing sand all over the place!
Your daughter’s coat and hat is ADORABLE! I wish I had that for Maggs. Strangely, Maggs is actually terrified of the swing and always has been. I thinks she may be fearful of heights, which suprise, surprise, so am I.
so cute!
Thanks ladies! It was a fun day.
OMG She is just simply adorable. I love the outfit. I love the picture of you holding her hand. Simply too cute to speak.
What is with kids taking their shoes off? My 2 yr old does it all the time!
Oh my gosh! She’s adorable!!
My rule for the playground is have a good night sleep beforehand. Aidyn bounces back and forth and back and forth…and back and forth. It’s exhausting keeping up!
going to the playground stresses me out because of a little guy running away. i feel like an idiot chasing him around because i have to run at full speed just to catch him. he’s super fast!
She is beautiful! My son always plays outside in his socks. BOYS!
Adorable pics. You and your daughter are so cute together.
She’s adoreable! Love your outfit, very stylish!
Thanks ladies, it’s so much fun dressing up a little girl!
Who needs shoes when the rest of your outfit is that cute?!!
She looks about my Missy Moo’s (toddler girl’s) age. At almost 20 months mine is running (and stripping) most of the time. Nakedness is the new fashion for her.
Thanks Shortmama and I love it Kellie! It never ends, does it?
The swings are the best invention ever! I’m not sure what I would do if Isabella didn’t love them?!
ps-your little girl is so stinkin’ cute!
xoxo
